Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring a pet in for a visit? Yes, provided your pet is up to date with vaccinations, licensed and a non aggressive breed. Please talk with Recreation Department for further details.

Do you offer Hospice services? Yes, we have contracts with local Hospice agencies.  Social Services can assist with this process as well as end of life issues.

What are your visiting hours? We have no visiting hours. Family and friends are welcome to come and go as they please.

Can we bring food? Yes. Please discuss food item with nursing staff to maintain safety and dietary compliance. Food will be marked with a date, refrigerated and discarded after a certain period of time.

What types of activities do you offer? Our staff can provided one on one visits, group activities and community outings. We have a recreation room where we bake, watch movies and have popcorn, sit on the patio, have club gatherings (Euchre, Men’s Club, Women’s Club), craft tables, wii activites, music, reading, spiritual services, pet therapy and many more. Please see activities calendar for day to day therapeutic recreation.

Do you take the Resident’s out of the facility? Yes. Our Resident’s have the opportunity to be active in the community and outside the community. They go shopping to the local Wal Mart and K Mart, crop tours, windmill tours, parades, festivals, Christmas shopping in the mall etc.

Are Religious services offered? Yes. We have Catholic Communion as well as Non-Denominational services. Please discuss religious preferences with Recreation Department for accommodation of spiritual needs.

Do you provide 24 hour care? Yes. We have nurses on staff 24 hours a day on all shifts. See Nursing Services.

Will my insurance pay for services? In most cases, yes.  Every insurance company has varying requirements and criteria. Please ask to speak with one of our Financial Representatives to assist with this determination and any other financial concern.

Do you take resident’s out of facility?  Yes, We do have a bus and van available for community outings.  Residents have the opportunity to be active in the community and outside the community.  We go shopping to the local WalMart and Kmart, crop tours, windmill tours, parades, festivals, Christmas shopping at the mall, Lake picnics, fishing trips, and many more.

What types of activities do you offer?  Our staff provides one on one visits, group activities and community outings.  We also provide family activities such as our annual family picnic, Thanksgiving dinner, and Christmas Party.  We offer weekly beauty shop services and monthly barber shop services.  We have a recreation room that is staffed to assist residents with independent leisure pursuits.  The recreation room has a built in kitchen where we bake and socialize.  While in the recreation room residents have the opportunity to watch movies, sit on the patio, have club gatherings (Euchre, Men’s Club, Women’s Club), do crafts play wii games, listen to music, and read.  We play BINGO twice a week, and have pet visits and more.  Please see our activities calendar for our day to day therapeutic recreation. 

What are your visiting hours?  There are no set visiting ours, as we welcome all residents’ family and friends to visit anytime.  We do lock our doors between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM for security reasons.  However, visitors are always welcome to use the 300 hall exit door to enter after hours.
