The nursing department at Sanilac Medical Care Facility consists of a combination of more than 100 Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The residents are provided with 24-hour resident focused nursing care. The nurses and nursing assistants provide needed medical care, as well as a listening ear and a tender touch. Many residents, after moving back home, return to the facility to visit because they have made many friends. We provide a homelike atmosphere and it has been said our nursing department has a positive and contagious spirit. The nurses work as a liaison between residents and physicians to provide the best care possible. Our residents not only receive medications, injections, intravenous therapy, oxygen administration, treatments, wound care and tracheotomy care, they also receive the love and care that one would expect at home.
